Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how KERNL LIMITED ("BlackStack", "we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you visit blackstack.io or contact us about our AI consulting services.

1. Who we are

  • KERNL LIMITED, a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales, trading as BlackStack.
  • We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: contact@blackstack.io.

2. Data we collect

  • Contact form: your name, email address, business name, team size, and the message you send.
  • Emails and calls: what you choose to share with us when we talk about your business.
  • Website usage: privacy-friendly, cookie-free statistics (such as page views and country) provided by Cloudflare Web Analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.
  • Language choice: if you switch language, we store a small cookie (bs_lang) so the site remembers it. It contains only "en" or "fr".

3. How we use it

We never sell your data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

  • To reply to you and arrange a call (legitimate interest, or steps before entering a contract).
  • To deliver consulting work you hire us for (contract).
  • To keep the website secure and understand which pages are useful (legitimate interest).

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf under data protection terms:

  • Cloudflare (website hosting, security, and analytics).
  • Resend (delivery of contact form emails).
  • Google Workspace (our business email).

5. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK and the European Union. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for up to 24 months after our last contact, and client records for as long as the law requires (usually 6 years for accounting records).

7. Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law (GDPR) you can ask to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your data, object to processing, or ask for a copy in a portable format. Email contact@blackstack.io and we will reply within one month.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or, if you live in the European Union, to your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL at cnil.fr).

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
